Our Mission

We get beyond
the conversation and craft resolutions that move the issues forward.

In our democratic society we have the freedom and liberty to conduct endless public discussions on important issues that impact our lives and the world around us; from panel discussions, to roundtables, to podcast interviews – all healthy debates and conversations that draw in engaged audiences.
But what happens when everyone goes home? What happens to the issues we discussed so passionately?

What is this about?

Roundtable Resolutions is a new expert discussion forum that brings together a collection of sharp minds from varying disciplines.

We discuss (not debate) a leading issue of the day and work together to seek a resolution that will move the issue forward. Audience members are invited to observe, ask questions and partake in the final shaping of the resolution. Once the resolution is passed, the team at Roundtable Resolutions, selects graduate students and engaged participants to work together to bring the resolutions to life.

Our Approach

Big Issues

We tackle some of the biggest issues that affect Canada and the world including, climate change, healthcare, politics, media, education, housing, mental health, homelessness, and so much more! We take a streamlined approach to the issues by focusing on one piece of the larger problem and drill down until we come to an agreed upon resolution.

Smart Conversations

We bring together a collection of sharp minds from varying disciplines to discuss (not debate) a leading issue of the day. These expert panelists provide various perspectives that help frame the conversation and enlighten not only those on the panel but the audience who observe, ask questions and partake in the final shaping of the resolution.

Signed Resolutions

We put a stake in the ground and craft resolutions that will move the issue forward. Expert panelists and participating audience members sign the official Roundtable Resolutions document that outlines the agreed upon points discussed in the roundtable. These points formulate the official resolution and are published for the greater public to read.

Actionable Change

Resolutions are nothing but a piece of paper until they are put into action by those dedicated to making change. Our team at Roundtable Resolutions works closely with graduate students and engaged participants to bring these resolutions to life. We offer co-op programs that engage highschool and university students to take part in shaping the future they want to see.
